Investing in Our Community's Future
Scholarships are available for students who live and go to school in one of our local club areas. Simply use the scholarship application of the local woman's club nearest to you. To be considered for a De Anza District Scholarship, your application must include all of the information listed below.
How to Apply
What Your Application Needs
Once your local woman's club scholarship application is complete, prepare a cover letter that includes the community college or university you plan to attend, your GPA, and your signature. Your application must also include the following:
Academic Information
- •Cumulative GPA with a copy of your transcript
- •Rank in class
- •SAT scores — verbal, math, and written
- •Major academic interests in high school
- •Extracurricular activities and interests
Financial Need
- •Occupation of parents or guardians
- •Job experience
- •Plans for financing college
- •Whether you have saved money for college
- •A letter describing your financial need
Personal Essay
- •Past experiences
- •Hobbies and interests
- •Future plans with an emphasis on educational and vocational goals
Letters of Recommendation
- •Please limit to three letters of recommendation
