What We Are
A Community of Women Making a Difference
The De Anza District is a district of the California Federation of Women's Clubs (CFWC), part of the General Federation of Women's Clubs (GFWC) one of the oldest and largest nonpartisan, nondenominational women's volunteer service organizations in the world. Our members come together across Riverside County to serve their communities, support education, and build lasting friendships.
Founded in 1956, De Anza District brings together 12 local women's clubs under one shared mission: to improve the lives of those around us through volunteer service, civic engagement, and community programs.
How It Works
The Federation Structure
Women's clubs are organized through a layered federation structure from individual local clubs all the way up to a global organization. Here is how it all connects:
GFWC — General Federation of Women's Clubs
The top level. Over 60,000 members, 2,300 clubs across all 50 states and 13 other countries. GFWC sets the national programs and priorities that guide clubs worldwide.

CFWC — California Federation of Women's Clubs
California's state-level federation. CFWC is organized into 4 Areas (A, B, C, and D) and 18 Districts, with approximately 11,000 members and 231 clubs across the state.

De Anza District falls under Area D, which covers Southern California — including San Bernardino County, Riverside County, and San Diego County. Area D includes the De Anza, Palomar, San Bernardino, and Southern Districts.

Our district. We serve Riverside County and are home to 12 local women's clubs. The district coordinates programs, events, and resources across all member clubs.
